![]() This is not just a hike—it’s a movement. I recently completed an incredible journey, summiting all seven hills at Ngong Hills. Standing at the top of those hills, the wind in my face and the horizon stretching before me, I felt more determined than ever. The next phase of my adventure? Summiting Mt. Kenya and Mt. Kilimanjaro over the next two months. But I’m not climbing just for the thrill—I’m doing this to change the lives of 4,000 visually impaired children, just like me. Losing my sight at the age of ten was one of the hardest challenges I’ve faced, but it was also the beginning of an extraordinary journey. The tools that helped me adapt, especially my white cane, became lifelines, symbols of independence and strength. I want to extend that same opportunity to others by raising funds to purchase 4,000 white canes for visually impaired children. The last time a known group of visually impaired East Africans successfully summited Mt. Kilimanjaro was back in the 1960s. It’s time for history to repeat itself, and this time, it comes with a message—that no human is limited. My journey is called Heights Unseen, and it’s more than just mountains—it’s about breaking barriers, shattering stereotypes, and creating a future where no one is defined by their limitations. Over the next two months, I’ll be tackling Mt. Kenya and finally, the roof of Africa—Mt. Kilimanjaro. With your support, we can make a tangible impact. By joining hands, we can ensure these children are equipped with the tools they need to navigate life confidently and independently. Let’s change lives, one step at a time.
